Fasted Cardio: Is Burning More Fat Worth the Cost?
When you exercise after an overnight fast, your body generally relies more heavily on stored fat for fuel during the workout. Research comparing fasted and fed aerobic exercise has consistently found greater fat oxidation during fasted exercise. In plain English, you are burning a greater percentage of fat for energy while you are exercising.
